Since 2016, one of the world-renowned competitions—the World Robot Olympiad (WRO)—has been held in Armenia, organized by the “Ayb” Educational Foundation.
Starting from 2023, the official representative and sole organizer of the national stage of WRO in Armenia is the “Contests Lab” Educational NGO.
Currently, “Contests Lab” aims to promote the teaching of robotics, programming, and engineering in Armenian schools through this Olympiad and to encourage Armenian students’ participation in internationally renowned and popular competitions and Olympiads.
Who Can Participate in the World Robot Olympiad?
- WRO is a team competition, with each team consisting of 2-3 participants.
- Students aged 8–19 can participate, competing in relevant age categories.
- The tasks for the national stage of WRO are identical to those of the international stage.

Goals of the World Robot Olympiad
- Engage students in practical scientific activities.
- Stimulate interest in mathematics, programming, and physics, fostering interdisciplinary connections.
- Develop students’ logical thinking and engineering skills.
- Promote teamwork abilities.
- Encourage the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
- Discover and nurture students’ creativity and innovative thinking.
Participation Requirements
- To participate, teams must submit an application by May 10, 2025 (inclusive).
- The participation fee is 15,000 AMD per team.
- The payment deadline is May 15, 2025.

Competition Date
